TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION IS HERE

New Online Banking Security Features

The protection and security of your personal information is vital to us. For this reason, we are pleased to announce an added login feature that helps to further safeguard your personal information. This feature provides a heightened layer of identity verification to online and mobile account access.

Now is a good time to verify your personal contact information in online banking (settings/profile)

 How does two-factor authentication work?

  • When logging on to online banking or our mobile banking app, you will receive a message on your mobile phone with a 6-digit code. You will be prompted to enter this code to complete your login process.

  • The six-digit code will be different each time you receive one.

The code will expire in 5 minutes. If entered incorrectly, you can re-enter. If the code expires, a new code is required.

You will not be asked to enter a code each time you log in; just occasionally and whenever logging in from a new device.

You can add or update phone numbers for verification code delivery by visiting:

• Online Banking – Go to settings > Security and Alerts > Manage Verification Code Delivery >Phone Number

• Mobile Banking – Go to More > Settings > Manage Two Factor Authentication

What will my first login involve?

  1. To confirm your account, enter your username and password (security code).

  2. You will then be asked to select and provide answers to 5 new security questions.

  3. Select or provide a phone number to receive the 6-digit code.

  4. Enter the 6-digit code to view your account.

  5. This process will only happen the first time you log in.

Can the 6-digit code be sent to an email address? No. A mobile telephone number is required.

Note: If you do not have a mobile phone, you will have the option to receive the code verbally on a landline.

Why was this additional security step taken? As security threats become more common, the measures we need to take to protect your personal information have become more sophisticated.
